There are countless thousands of people cracking paysite passwords around the clock, each with the power of several CRAY-1 supercomputers at their fingertips. Some have cracked over a million passwords, and these master crackers are remarkably sophisticated. They have learned a lot about how people choose passwords.

The hackers love it when you allow members to choose their own passwords. Human nature being what it is, people tend to make similar choices. A good cracker can test over a hundred million choices per second - and countless thousands of crackers are doing just that. When members choose their own passwords, crackers can decrypt 50%-90% of them within a few hours. It's that simple!

Catch 22

If you do not allow members to choose their own passwords, you have a problem on your hands. They won't remember the password, they won't renew, and you lose money. If you do allow members to choose their own passwords, they make insufficiently secure choices. Even the experts make poor choices; the hackers are far better password crackers than most experts realize. We have a solution - but we'll get to that later.
